Matthias has been focused on mentoring teams even before he stared his work live. Following his rowing career, he coached various crews. After his studies in manufacturing engineering which he successfully completed with a Master degree at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH) in Germany, he settled in Boston USA to assist in growing a new R&D/Consulting Center for Fraunhofer (The Center for Manufacturing Innovation) at Boston University.

He joined one of his customers following a market research project with the goal to open the US market. Since the German mother company when quickly public on Germany stock exchange he was able to lead and close an acquisition in the US market while establishing already a fully operational subsidiary as its CEO. 

After merging both operations and integrating the team the focused was first on product development while always supporting the sales team. When the company decided to open operations in China it was Matthias who first developed the strategy and selected & coached the initial team.

He later took on the role for Corporate VP for Software Products where his major task was to bring the various development teams back together using similar processes, tools and resources where possible.

Following a highly successful sale of the company where he was a key contributor he left to assist others in their journey to implement and drive new strategies for their companies which meant always to coach and convince teams and individual contributors. 

As Interim Head of Sales, as VP of Digitalization and Strategy or as a start-up CEO he made sure that the individuals working with and for him exceled at their work to move the company and its strategy forward.

As bilingual professional with international business experience and managerial achievements in high-tech sectors, he uses his core competence is the development and execution of a Vision & Strategy to mentor individuals and teams.
